AT CHALLENGER REHAB ON WHEELS INC., WE SPECIALIZE IN POST-CRASH REHABILITATION & IN-VEHICLE TRAUMA RECOVERY FOR DRIVERS, PASSENGERS AND PEDESTRIANS WHO HAVE SUFFERED IN A MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH OR COLLISION.  WE HELP TAKE THE FEAR OUT OF DRIVING AND GET YOU BACK ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY.  WE AID IN BUILDING INDEPENDENT MOBILITY FOR OUR PATIENTS WHO SUFFER FROM DRIVING ANXIETY, FEAR & PHOBIAS.

Driving Therapy Recovery Workshops

   Challenger Rehab on Wheels Inc. has launched our Driving Therapy Recovery Workshop!  This will be a workshop designed to help those suffering with Driving Anxiety.  We look forward to helping you.  We are also very excited to finally be releasing our highly anticipated book, "Driving After The Crash; A Driving Anxiety Recovery Manual" along with the workshop.  For more details, please check out our NEWS, ARTICLES & EVENTS page.

Who Will Benefit:

Those who could benefit include, (but are not limited to): 

1) Persons who have experienced the trauma of a vehicle crash. 

2) People who are experiencing Post-Traumatic
Stress Disorder (PTSD) Symptoms such as; flashbacks of crash, nightmares, intrusive memories of crash, sleep disorders or issues, fatigued in-vehicle and afterward, and hyper vigilant in-vehicle. 

3) People who have been diagnosed with/suffer from; Specific Driving Anxiety, Phobia, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety in-vehicle, and

4) Those who have shown avoidance behaviour of driving since the crash.

Possible Signs of Driving Anxiety:

1) Avoidance Behaviour; avoids driving or being in-vehicle

2) Fatigued after being in-vehicle

3) Physical pain while/after in-vehicle, especially if existing pain increases

4) Angry/upset while/after being in-vehicle

5) Visibly stressed while/after being in-vehicle & Panicky feeling about being in a car

6) Feel like other cars around you are, "too close" or "driving too fast!"

7) Arriving by alternate means of transportation (cab or friend)

8) Pre-planning all routes and times of travel

9) Anxiety levels increase in specific driving situations, like snow, heavy traffic, highways.

10) Haven't driven, or only minimally driven since crash

11) Express fear of "being hit again!"

12) Display the following signs, symptoms: flashbacks of crash, nightmares, intrusive memories of crash, sleep disruptions, hyper vigilant in-vehicle.
